Vyke Web Calling

Vyke Web Calling
Vyke Web Calling is an innovative calling service that creates a connection between any two phone numbers worldwide via an Internet-based interface.

This flexible solution, built on the robust Vyke central calling platform, has been designed for easy integration with virtually any web-based service.
Vyke Web may be deployed in two primary manners. They are:
  1. Vyke Web Calling as provided on the Vyke Internet Merchant Platform
  2. Vyke Web Calling via the Centris API

Vyke Web Calling via Vyke.com

When deployed via the Vyke.com website, Vyke Web Calling provides an easy to use interface for low cost calling. By connecting to the end user via a normal mobile or fixed line, Vyke Web Calling is an ideal product for use in areas where Internet quality is poor or where network usage policies prohibit the end user from making calls directly from the PC.

In this configuration, the end user simply authenticates his or her use by logging into the Vyke.com then enters the phone number where he or she is located and the phone number where he or she desires to call. The call delay function then allows the user to log off from the Internet (in the event that only one line is available for both Internet and calling) and receive the call as scheduled.

To find out how to use Vyke Web Calling, or to sign up for service, please visit www.vyke.com or purchase a Vyke prepaid scratch card and visit www.vykedirect.com.

Vyke Web Calling via the Centris API

When deployed using the Centris API, any third party system may integrate Vyke Web Calling functionality with existing or new systems. While Vyke Web Calling derives its name from its pertinence to web-based services, the Centris API may be used to power virtually any type of application-controlled communication services.

For providers of Internet-based services, the Centris API offers a way to add calling services to an existing web page. Examples of these types of services are:
  • Calling card distributors with an existing web presence may build a "calling portal" for initiating international calls (similar to Vyke Web Calling)
  • Telephone directory services may add a calling service to connect potential customers to advertisers
  • Internet dating services may add an intra-community calling service that allows two members to speak without divulging personal details
  • CRM providers may add an automated calling function to the CRM interface

The Centris API provides access to the following Vyke system features:
  • Call Request: place a call by identifying caller number, called party number, time delay and account number
  • Balance/Rate Request: retrieve a specific account balance or calling rate between two phone numbers
  • History Request: retrieve call records for a specific account
  • Info Request: retrieve specified account information pertaining to almost any searchable account data
  • Call Status Update: pushes active call status updates to an external system, tracking end user activity in real time

The Centris API may also be used to power back office customer management facilities, please click here to find out more about the Centris API.

Use of the Centris API requires integration with the relevant third party platform. Contact a Vyke representative to further discuss how the Centris API can be deployed and how Vyke can assist in the integration process.
